The Advantech 232LB9R is a 9-pin RS-232 repeater that amplifies all 8 signals and the ground line. Many computers, laptops, and some desktops come with low-power versions of RS-232 ports that cannot drive port-driven devices or full-length RS-232 cables. The 232LB9R amplifies the signal up to the RS-232 standard. It is also ideal for extending RS-232 cable beyond the usual 15 to 30 meters. External power supply required (not included).
