Now with color touch screen for clear reading - New Dycon CS2389 is a real-time 4G/3G/2G signal strength and signal quality measurement tool. The instrument is specially designed to check mobile coverage for 3G calls/telephony but also works as a directional tool for antennas for mobile data.

The device can be used without a SIM card to quickly analyze which operators and frequencies are available at the location . You then get a list of all operators, signal strength and quality. You can also choose to specifically search for a frequency band and 4G, 3G or 2G/GSM.

We recommend that the device be used with a SIM card in Sweden to find the right information most easily when several operators share networks.

The model is handheld and has a rechargeable Li-Ion battery that can handle up to 24 hours of continuous operation.

The instrument has a standard antenna connector (SMA female) so you can connect directly to a external antenna for easy adjustment.

The package includes rod antenna, power adapter, USB cable, stylus and SIM card adapters.

Areas of use:

  • Conduct a Site Survey of the best operators in the area to be able to choose the optimal provider of telephony services
  • Measure coverage of 4G, 3G and GSM indoors
  • Measure signal strength and signal quality for best placement of external donor antenna for 3G repeater
  • Measure the best location/direction (strength and quality) for 4G antennas for routers including information about frequency bands
  • Align directional antenna for repeater. Not only to find the strongest transmitter but also to minimize crosstalk to/from other base stations.
  • Check repeater installation and repeater coverage indoors.
