Advantech ADAM 6224 - 4 analog OUT ports.
The analog outputs can be set to different output types such as 0-5V, 0-10V +-5V, +-10V, 0-20mA, 4-20mA< br /> Built-in Web Server
Since the ADAM 6200 series are IP-based, they also have a built-in web server so you can easily log in and view status/measurements or control outputs directly from a computer or mobile phone . Why build a complicated system if you just want to check the status or remotely control some function.
Built-in Micro PLC
Are you going to do some smaller measurement/control project where you don't need a complete advanced PLC without you can do but a few simple measuring/control rules, each in the ADAM 6200 series has a built-in micro PLC. The units can communicate with other ADAM units and control them.
Each ADAM in the 6200 series has 16 PLC rules that can trigger functions locally within the same ADAM or remotely on any ADAM. For example. can an ADAM 6217 with 8 analog inputs measure a number of values and e.g. trigger a relay output on an ADAM 6266 that sits elsewhere (within the same house/network or via VPN tunnels somewhere in the world). 16 rules per ADAM may not sound like a lot, but you can build quite a lot of different automated control/regulation functions without having to buy and program a PLC.
The functions include AND, OR, NAND, NOR rules as well as timers and counters. In addition, the possibility to send 16 different flags between the units and the possibility to connect the same rules.
Should you need to expand the project, you can easily use the same ADAM units in an IP-based PLC/ALC system.
Peer to Peer connection
Do you need to move an analog or digital signal somewhere else? Regardless of whether it concerns 100 meters or to the other side of the world, an ADAM can take a signal and send it to another ADAM. It does not matter if it is a digital signal or an analog signal.
MODBUS TCP
All ADAM 6200 series are compatible with IP-based MODBUS TCP. You can connect the ADAM6200 to a PLC, ALC, industrial router or other control computer/system that talks MODBUS over IP. Since MODBUS TCP works over Ethernet and IP, you can communicate over existing networks without being bound by serial cables as in classic MODBUS.
ASCII converter
Should you not be familiar with MODBUS TCP but want to retrieve data or control ports via another application or program, the ADAM 6200 series has a built-in ASCII converter that gives you the opportunity to send/read data directly to ADAM via ASCII commands via TCP or UDP
.NET< /strong>
Do you want to write your own applications in VB, C++, C# or ASP.NET? ADAM has a .NET module that you can use in e.g. Visual Studio to write your own applications.
Daisy Chain Ethernet – Built-in 2 port Switch with battery backup
Another super cool feature is Daisy Chain Ethernet. If you want to connect a number of ADAM 62xx close to each other, you can use the double Ethernet ports and connect them in a row one after the other. No need to run cables to each ADAM. To make it even more compact, you can "stack" several ADAMs on top of each other. In case of power supply problems to one of the ADAM units in a loop, the built-in Ethernet switch is kept powered via built-in battery for up to 4 days to provide auto bypass.
Restful Web API (JSON)< br /> If you work with modern monitoring tools for IoT that support the Restful Web API, you can talk directly to an ADAM in the 6200 series. Do you build your own applications in e.g. The Drag-n-Drop programming tool Node RED makes it possible to communicate directly with the ADAM 6200 series via JSON/Restful Web API.
HMI monitoring - Visualize your monitored systems with WebAccess

Connect, for example, Advantech WebAccess HMI to visualize status. In WebAccess you build a graphical overview of all your systems where you see the current status and can control things via the screen.
You can also build responsive web pages for a quick status via any web browser, e.g. via telephone or standard web browser.
