Milesight EM500-UDL is a LoRaWAN device that measures distance using ultrasound. This model can handle 0.3 to 5 meters.

EM500-UDL is suitable for e.g. for measuring levels in liquids or materials. A special model for measuring snow is available to order. Because the measurement takes place with ultrasound, all types of liquids or materials can be measured. The EM500-UDL can also measure other types of distances as needed.

Common areas of use are liquids in cisterns, wells. But also outdoor measurements of water level ponds, rivers, streams, culverts. But can also be used for solid materials such as grain.

EM500 is designed for industrial applications with very high requirements for reliability and accuracy.

The device has the option of being configured for trigger levels that immediately send measurement data outside the ranges.

The EM500 series is fully waterproof (IP67) and made for outdoor placement in temperatures from -30 to +70 degrees. The EM500-UDL unit is IP67 rated (waterproof).

The unit is super easy to install and maintain as it comes with a very large (19,000 mAh) Li-SOCL batteries that last 10 years (at 10 minutes range).

It has a multi-function bracket that can be screwed on, attached around a pipe or attached to a DIN rail.

The connection to the Milesight LoRaWAN gateway and the IoT Cloud is handled completely automatically only by scanning the barcode with the mobile app (Milesight IoT Cloud) or manually entering the serial number in the web portal.

The device will pre-configure (Plug-n-play) to only connect to the Milesight LoRaWAN gateway / Milesight IoT Cloud via the serial number on a barcode. But the device can be configured via a mobile app just by placing the mobile phone against the device (NFC) or via a PC and a USB-C cable. If you want to change the settings or configure the device to fit other LoRaWAN gateways or Cloud systems, it is easily done via the mobile app (NFC) or a PC (USB).
