Advantech B+B EKI-5528I is the industry's first Ethernet Green, IEEE802.3az switch that reduces power consumption by up to 60% and the total the cost of ownership.
The EKI-5528I can be used as a plug-and-play unattended switch right out of the box or install iView² Network Management Software which gives them basic monitoring and management functions. In this way, the gap between unattended switches and significantly more expensive managed solutions is bridged.
With iView² enabled, the switch can provide IP address assignment, enabling a static IP address or an address via DHCP. EKI-5528I has the ability to use Modbus/TCP to communicate with HMI/SCADA applications and SNMP to communicate with NMS (Networking Management Software) at the same time. This gives full control access for both monitoring technicians and IT managers.
